Letter with several questions April 16, 2009
As requested, someone has submitted a number of questions, and I plan on answering them on pages linked from here.
The pertinent parts are reproduced below. As is Our custom, we omit personal information and names, unless permission is granted or there is a very good reason to reproduce this information.
I wish to address the issue of whether or not the election took place. I believe they cast a vote in belief they were doing the right thing at the time. However, I DO NOT believe any of the votes that were cast by women should be counted . I also believe the way the election took place was too rash, quick or hasty. I believe more voters should have been there. If none could be found it should have been postponed. I feel they can not take back a vote, but I see a larger fault, that is not that they are trying to say the election did not take place but that they found fault with the person elected.
In another part of your letter you explain excommunicates can vote, that may be, but can an excommunicate become Pope. From all you have ever taught me from the Vatican II mess was that those popes could not be becasue they had excommunicated themselves.
I realize how you feel about your claim to the Papacy. I as a Catholic feel the Church should be defended at all cost too. I just feel that the way this election took place was not completely in line with all Catholic laws of wich I am aware.
Answers will be produced in the week of April 19 to 26.
